Detail : |
The eleventh official EMI release.
The first official double "A" side release
No significant label changes, or versions of this disc at all, all originals should look as the top version above.
BUT ... as discussed on the previous single release detail (Help !) ... on 1st July 1965, EMI merged
all its roster labels into one parent company, the "Gramophone Company Ltd." and from Help ! the
small "rights of the manufacturer" statement around the outside edge of the label, began with the new company name instead
of "The Parlophone Co. Ltd.". But as I said, this changeover wasn't immediate, so look out for some copies with either
statement printed ! ... and above you can see a rare variant I have of just such an occurence where the A-side has one
statement and the other side has the other !! (there are other smaller changes too)
This version is worth considerably more than a standard release.
Another change was a new style sleeve which appeared as from this release as shown above.
And below, the picture disc version released in England as part of the,
"It Was Twenty Years Ago" series, on 2nd December 1985. |
