Comments : Paul McCartney's 7th Live album, and thirty-eighth release in total.
Under the MPL Communications banner, Paul now appears on the Mercury label.

Credited to "Paul McCartney".

This set includes material recorded over three nights - 17th, 18th and 21st July 2009 as part of Paul's "Summer Live" concert tour.
As the inaugural musical event at New York's Citi Field, the site of the former Shea Stadium, these July 2009 shows held special significance not only for Paul but for generations of his fans.
The shows were performed on the same hallowed ground where The Beatles played their 34-minute show in 1965 that would set the precedent for the modern day stadium rock show.

This 4-disc set comprises a 33 track 2 C.D. set with audio in both stereo and 5.1, a DVD featuring footage directed by Paul Becher with highlights of the gigs including faithful takes on Beatles classics 'Drive My Car', 'Got To Get You Into My Life', 'The Long And Winding Road', 'Blackbird', 'Eleanor Rigby', 'Back In The USSR', 'Paperback Writer', 'Let It Be', 'Hey Jude', 'Helter Skelter' and more, plus 'Something' rendered on ukulele gifted to Paul by George Harrison, and a tribute to John Lennon in the form of a medley of 'A Day In The Life' & 'Give Peace A Chance'. Wings-era chestnuts include 'Band On The Run', 'My Love', 'Let Me Roll It' and the pyrotechnic tour-de-force of 'Live And Let Die', while timeless McCartney solo material ranges from 'Here Today' to the upbeat 'Flaming Pie' and 'Dance Tonight' to a pair of numbers from Electric Arguments, the 2008 album released under the alias of The Fireman. Plus a Bonus DVD containing footage of Paul's traffic-stopping, headline-making July 15th performance on the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee, and an audience documentary.
Presented in a sealed hard-back bookstyle packaging complete with an extensive book.

The album entered the chart at number 28 on 20th December 2009.
27th December 2009 - In it's second week Paul's album slipped to number 45.
Only the top 75 counts for record purposes, but it actually dropped out the chart and hovered just outside for a couple of weeks.
It dropped down to number 82 on 3rd January 2010, then stayed at 82 on 10th January.
Sales so far in the U.K. are said to be 43,000, with world-wide sales of over 1 million copies.

                                          Chart progression 28-45-82-82-

This collection was also sold separately as a 3-disc set without the extra bonus DVD.

The performances of Sing the Changes, Jet, and Band On The Run included in this set were released as a downloadable three-track pack for the Rock Band video game on 5 January 2010.
