THE APPLEJACKS

The A-side was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

The second hit single for the Applejacks (the first being the no.7 smash hit "Tell Me When").
The Applejacks were :
Al Jackson - Vocals
Martin Baggott - Lead guitar
Phil Cash - Rhythm guitar
Don Gould - Organ
Megan Davies - Bass guitar
Gerry Freeman - Drums.

One of the 15 songs the Beatles performed at the Decca Audition of 1st January 1961, "Like Dreamers Do" was one of the Decca audition recordings left off of all official "Decca" releases due to it being a "Lennon-McCartney" composition. It was of course available on bootlegs like The Road To Fame and then eventually became available legitamately on Anthology 1.

For those unable to find the Applejacks single, their version can be located on the excellent album, The Songs Lennon and McCartney Gave Away.
