These two 7" records are really E.P.'s (playing at 33 1/3 rpm), but they could be classified as singles.
These were the very first bootleg Beatles records I ever bought ... and Wow ... at the time, they were a total revelation.
There was nothing like them ... at all.
I bought the pair together, but you could never tell that from the sleeves. No similar markings. One had a "label", which
you can see below. The other was a white label. And the covers don't appear to be from the same presses.
But, together they certainly belong ... the first time, almost 30 years ago, that one could hear the Beatles live on vinyl. Yes, a
juxtaposition of terms, but, unless you yourself picked these up in the 70's, you couldn't understand what it was like.
It was quite typical in the early seventies for this concert to be labelled as "The Shea Stadium Concert". It wasn't.
