A charity release in aid of the "Romanian Angel Appeal", with a dedication on the sleeve on behalf of the appeal from Olivia Harrison. The A-side was one of the tracks that the Beatles recorded in Hamburg when they were supporting Tony Sheridan. The Beatles version can be heard on their first Polydor album release, The Beatles First. The same track can also be found on the excellent bootleg Road To Fame. The arrangement of the song that the Wilbury's has chosen is closer to the original country and western style. The B-side of the 12" starts with a Dave Stewart instrumental track, and then includes a live recording of Ringo. It was recorded 4th September 1989 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Ringo appeared there for two nights on the 3rd and 4th September on nights that concluded his All Starr band North American tour. Other songs from the performances were later released on Ringo and His All-Starr Band. "Nobody's Child" was later issued as the title track of a charity LP on 23rd July 1990 (WEA WX 353).
