Detail : In the highlands of Scotland there's a wood-lined, tin-roofed shack known as Rude Studio.
Here Denny Laine and Paul McCartney got together to record some Buddy Holly songs in August 1976.

On the four track recorder Paul laid down the basic tracks, overdubbing each instrument himself.
Denny and Linda added a few licks and all three joined in on the vocals ... Denny singing lead with Paul and Linda harmonising.
Keeping it simple they tried to capture the spirit of the original recordings by recalling, in moments of madness, their own sweet Holly Days.

Due to the rudimentary recording methods used to capture the Buddy Holly style, only tracks 2 and 3 on Side 1 were actually recorded in stereo.

Cover photographs are by Linda McCartney.

Both sides of the album have "NICK W" etched into the run-out groove.
