This single was taken from the album "Putting On The Style" (CHR 1158) which entered the U.K. album charts on 25th February 1978. It reached no.51 and stayed in the chart three weeks.
Ringo provided drums on one other track on the album, "Have A Drink On Me".

A and B-sides of this single were produced by Adam Faith.

This remake of his classic single did not chart, in fact Lonnie Donegan's first chart hit in 1956 was "Rock Island Line" which he followed with 28 further hits, three of which hit the top spot. His last hit single was in 1962.

Lonnie Donegan was the "King of Skiffle" (b.29/04/1931) and was Britains most succesful and influential recording artist before The Beatles. He was the first U.K. male to have two top ten hits in the U.S.
